Who can reserve a Natural Science Kit?
Educators in Southern Oregon are welcome and encouraged to reserve our kits. Each kit contains lesson activities that vary in grade-level, including lessons for elementary, middle, and high school students.
When can I reserve a Natural Science Kit?
Kits are available during the SOU academic year, from October to June. However, we are open to accomodating requests outside this time frame.
Feel free to send a reservation request via email to seeckits@sou.edu, with the following information:
- Your name, email and phone number
- School/organization
- School District (if applicable)
- Address
- Grade
- Approximate number of students who will use the kits
- Kit requested
- Dates needed*
- Method of delivery, courier or in-person pick-up**
* Kits are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and may be kept by educators for a two to three-week period.
** The Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) courier provides delivery to and from public schools in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties. The SOESD will pick up kits from SOU and deliver them to your school.
If your school district does not use the SOESD courier service, SOESD will pick up kits from SOU and hold it in their main office, where the item will be available for your school district’s courier to pick up. Please note, this option increases the time of delivery by a few days. For a quicker turnaround, educators also have the option to personally pick up and return requested kits on campus at SOU.
